FOUR PONIES MAKE ALL-REGION TEAM

Colby Price, a sophomore outfielder from Nederland Texas and University of Texas at Arlington commit was awarded ALL-REGION Honors and CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR honors for his performance this season.   In 209 at bats Colby collected 94-hits with 7-double, 1-triple, 15-homeruns, 66-runs batted in, 38-walks, and a whopping .450-batting average.  His freshman at Panola, Price earned the FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR award by way of hitting .373 batting average with 15-doubles, 1-triple, 11-homeruns, drove in 44 runs, and scored 64 runs.   

Logan Bailey a sophomore pitcher from Hallsville Texas and Louisiana Tech University commit was awarded ALL-REGION honors and PITCHER OF THE YEAR honors for his efforts on the mound.  Logan led the league in almost every category for pitching.  In 15 appearance and 81-innings pitched he collected a league high 12 wins and only 2 loses while striking out 104 batters with only 18 walks and a 2.44 era.  As a freshman at Panola, Bailey pitched 43 innings, won 3 games and lost 2.  He had a 5.08 era, punched out 42 and only walked 18 batters.

Duke Ellis a freshman outfielder from Nacogdoches Texas was awarded ALL-REGION honors and FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR honors for his production in 2017.  Duke who can flat out fly in the outfield had an outstanding freshman campaign.  He hit a .415 clip, collected 81-hits in 197 at bats, 17-doubles, 5-triples, 4-homerus, with 26-walks and only 16-strikeouts.   

Christian Boulware a freshman catcher from Dallas Texas earned ALL REGION honors as a catcher.  Boulware hit .320 in 191 at bats with 10-doubles, 12-homeruns, and drove in 60 runs batted in.  A mainstay behind the plate only Boulware threw out 16 of the 24 runners who attempted.
