Panola College began the second half of conference play last weekend and defeated Bossier Parish Community College two out of three games. Panola won game one 8-7, game two 7-6 and lost game three 2-1. With the wins Panola extends their regular season record to 32-8 and 12-6 in conference play. Panola travels to Angelina College on Wednesday to face off against the Roadrunners in a three game conference series. Panola will be back at home on Saturday April 15th for a double header versus Angelina. Game times are set for 1pm and 3pm.
Panola College Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Bossier Parish C.C.
Panola and Bossier Parish traded the lead back-and-forth on Thursday in Louisiana, but eventually Panola prevailed 9-8. Panola took the lead for good in the sixth inning. The game was tied at five with Panola batting in the top of the sixth when Christian Boulware homered, driving in three runs.
Panola earned the victory despite allowing Bossier to score five runs in the fifth inning. Bossier big inning was driven by a double by Ward, a single by Thompson, and a home run by Frost.
Ryan Ratliff earned the win for Panola. He went two innings, surrendering one run, five hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
Kyle Rogers started the game for Panola. He tossed four innings, allowing four runs, eight hits, striking out three, and walking zero.
Home runs for Panola came when Colby Price homered in the fifth inning and Christian Boulware homered in the sixth inning.
Panola had 11 hits in the game. Chandler Morris, Duke Ellis, and Price each collected multiple hits for Panola. Morris led Panola with three hits in five at bats.
Ellis's Walk-Off Gives Panola College Victory Over Bossier Parish C.C. In Game Two
A walk-off single led Panola past Bossier 7-6 on Saturday in Carthage. The game was tied at six with Panola batting in the bottom of the eighth when Duke Ellis singled, driving in one run to win the game in dramatic fashion.
Panola built a four-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Bossier charge. Bossier scored six runs in the failed comeback on a by Tassih in the sixth, a single by Stegall in the sixth, a single by Santiago in the seventh, a fielder's choice by Ward in the seventh, a single by Tassih in the seventh, and a home run by Thompson in the eighth.
Panola captured the lead in the first inning. Michael Lawson drove in one when he doubled in the first inning.
Colton Brasher earned the win for Panola. He threw one and one-third innings, giving up one run, one hit, striking out one, and walking zero.
Logan Bailey started the game for Panola. He tossed six innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, striking out five, and walking zero.
Panola collected 11 hits. Duke Ellis and Andrew Pace each collected multiple hits for Panola. Ellis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Panola in hits. Panola didn't commit a single error in the field. Austin Blakeley had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.
Bossier Parish Captures Lead Early To Defeat Panola
Panola fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-1 loss to Bossier Parish on Saturday in Carthage. Bossier took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

Taylor Tomlin took the loss for Panola. He pitched seven innings, giving up two runs, five hits, striking out three, and walking one.
