Garett Hermes led things off on the rubber for Panola College. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three and a third innings, striking out four and walking one. Figueroa and Landry came on in relief to hold the Bears to one run over the final frames.

The Ponies racked up seven hits. Christian Boulware and JJ Flores each had up multiple hits for Panola. Joe Stevens and Chase Hodges each added a hit to the cause. The Ponies capitalized on a couple BRCC errors to jump out early. Boulware then picked up his first homerun of the season to ice the game late.

In the nightcap Juan Mateo led things off on the hill for Panola. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out four. Peyton Miller, Blaine Tomlin, Jarred Zumwalt, and Zach Goree each entered the game in relief, throwing two and a third innings, one inning, one inning, and one inning respectively. It was a back and forth affair until the 4th inning when the Gators took advantage of a couple of miscues and put a 5 spot on the board. The Ponies would then fight back adding a single run in the 6th and then 2 more in the 8th. With chances to cut the lead late in the game Panola couldn’t get the big hit and eventually fell 8-3.
