Ponies Take Series To Finish First Round Of Conference

Ponies take 2 with series against Bossier Parrish

 

Game 1- Chris Edwards was dominant on the mound in this one. He pitched the entire game only allowing 6 hits, 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He was backed up well by the Pony offense. The Ponies slugged 12 hits leading to 14 runs to end the game early in 6 innings. The Ponies hit 3 homeruns in the game with 2 of them being grand slams. Christian Boulware and Michael Lawson unloaded the base clearing bombs while Logan Berlof added a 3 run homerun. Ponies took game 1 by a score of 14-1.

 

Game 2 was very similar to game 1. The pitching was led by Chris Henderson and finished with Zach Goree. They combined to only allow 3 hits and 1 run. The offense pounded out 9 more hits and scored a total of 11 runs. Michael Lawson had 2 doubles on the day and Kade Clemens hit his 8th homerun of the year. Ponies won game 2 final score 11-1.

 

Game 3 was off to a good start for the Ponies. Ryne Ray hit his 4th homerun in the first inning and Christian Boulware hit his 9th of the season in the 3 inning. The ponies were stymied late in the game and dropped the series finale by a final score of 8-7.

 

Ponies are back in action this week with a Tuesday Game at LeTourneau and then start the second half of Conference against Paris. Thursday's game will be at home and Saturday's game will be at Paris.
