Panola College Baseball Signees

The Panola College baseball program was ultra-aggressive this fall in completing the signing class for the 2019-2020 season. Trevor Rainey and Grant Freels tag teamed a busy summer schedule and has arguably one of the deepest signing classes the Ponies have seen in recent history. On the pitching side of things the Ponies signed five right-handed pitchers and one left-handed pitcher. Trhea Morse and Dylan Conde come to us from the greater Houston area. Will Rice, Jackson Dannelley, Trace Smith, and Parker Moye all come to us from the East Texas area and all come from winning programs. All of these young men bring a championship mindset and explosive fastballs and pitchability. These young men will help bolster an already strong freshman class that will return from this year's roster. On the offensive side of the baseball the Ponies have brought in a number of plus defenders and strong hitters as well. Grayson Coltharp and Josh Bartolacci both come to us from the DFW Metroplex and bring a ton of big game experience. Bartolacci will come in as a middle infielder and Coltharp will see time both at 1st Base and in the Outfield position. Bryce Montemayor comes to us as a very versatile athlete. He can play the infield position as well as an outfield position also. Easton Parrish comes all the way from La Vernia, TX to join us another dual guy. He will split time between the outfield and catching positions. Tyler Brown will come in as an outfielder and really bring a speed presence to our program. Sticking with our Louisiana based connections we will bring in Matt Abshire as a catcher. He can really handle the bat and is a plus defender behind the plate.
