Kilgore, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball defeated Kilgore College here Wednesday night, 75-66. The victory raises the Ponies record to 15-7 and 7-4 in Region 14 play. “It was fun to watch out effort in the second half.” Stated head coach Grant McMillan. “When our guys execute they find another level.” He added.
Kilgore maintained a steady lead the first half and took a 27-30 halftime lead. Panola came out on fire in the second half taking momentum with a 41-14 run. The monstrous output gave Panola their biggest lead of 71-44.
Devyn Wilson led the way offensively with 16 points. KJ Byers and Eric McGill both netted 13 points. Rounding out the double-digit scores was Tope Arikawe with 10. Panola only committed six turnovers and shot 46 percent from the three point line.
Panola continues Region 14 play when they host Bossier Parish Community College this Satuday, February 4th. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM on the campus of Panola College.
