McLennan Highlanders shut out Panola
The McLennan Highlanders closed out their non-conference schedule with a 4-0 victory over the Panola Ponies in Carthage.
The Highlanders began the scoring with a run in the top of the first. Ravaughn Morgan and Cole Dillon both singled, and Aidan Kuni drew a walk to load the bases. Morgan then scored on a sacrifice fly by Brodey Williams.
The second McLennan run came in the second inning as Karson Krowka doubled and scored on a single by Rodric Black.
The Highlanders rounded out the scoring with two runs in the eighth. Kuni led off with a single and advanced on a wild pitch. Williams drew a walk, and Chase Brown was hit by the pitch, loading the bases. Kuni scored on a sacrifice fly by Sam Flores, and Williams scored on a passed ball.
