Pirates Beat #18 Panola

The Pirates returned to the court on December 29th against the no. 18 ranked Panola College.

Pensacola was down as many as 12 points in the second half, but they came flying back to pull off the 69-61 victory.

PSC ended with four players in double figures with Jalen Keago leading the way with 19. Colin Howells added 12, Dylan Colon and Dimitri Clerc both chipped in 11.

Up next on the weekend was a date with East Mississippi and a lackluster effort saw PSC fall 78-62. The Pirates did play the final two games short handed having lost two players to injury.

On Saturday, Colin Howells led the offense with 21 points while Jalen Keago had 15 and Calik "Duke" Thomas added 11.

In the final game against Bishop State, Pensacola let go of a 12-point lead in the second half and only scored two points in the last three minutes of the game. They ended up falling 62-61 to the Wildcats.

The lack of being able to get to the free throw line made a big difference in the game.

Jalen Keago recorded 14 points and Calik "Duke" Thomas was the only other scorer in double figures with 11.

Panhandle Conference play will begin January 13th when Pensacola hosts Gulf Coast State at 4:00 pm.
