With the last game of the 2016 calendar year in the books the Fillies improve to 3-2 in conference and 9-3 overall.

The Panola Fillies played at Coastal Bend this past Saturday and came out victorious with a 102-65 win. Genesis Rivera Came away with a double-double grabbing 10 rebounds and putting up 20 solid points. Sophomore Charlynn Perry, Patience Okpe, Stefany Lourenco, Waynenecka Wynn, and Ekaterina Karchevskaya all scored in double figures as well. 

While being down 22-19 after the first quarter, the Fillies turned their play around and came back in the last 3 quarters with a bang. The Fillies had a strong night, shooting 55% from the field and 75% from the free throw line. 

The Fillies head to Christmas break and will return playing on January 2nd, at Louisiana College.
