The Fillies Steal an Overtime Thriller at Tyler 84-83

The Panola Fillies competed in its second overtime game of the season; this time coming out victorious against conference opponent Tyler JC.

Entering the fourth quarter, there were several ties and lead changes between the two teams.
As the game dwindled down, the Fillies would see a 6 point lead dwindle to 3. After a miscommunication on the Fillies and offensive execution by Tyler, the game would be tied with 75-75.

During overtime the teams would compete neck and neck. Freshman Maryia Adashchyk would score 7 straight for the Fillies during the extra segment of play.

Tyler wouldn’t lay down that easy. After securing and offensive rebound, the Lady Apaches were able to complete a 3 point play.

The Fillies secures the rebound worn 10.8 seconds left but would turn the ball over in a careless fashion.

With less than 8 seconds left, the Fillies looked to its defense to win this game. With the score at 83-84 the Fillies would play good defense and solidify a defensive rebound to end the game.

Fivre Fillies scored in double digits. Adashchyk (17), Patience Okpe (16), Daria Eremeeva (15), Nailah Blount (13), Weronika Nowakowska (12). Eremeeva also grabbed a team high 11 boards.
