VICTORIA, TX - 

Panola College Volleyball advances to the #13 spot in the NJCAA D1 National Rankings after defeating Lee College and Trinity Valley last week. The Fillies traveled to Victoria College on Tuesday, October 19th and overcame them in four sets (23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17). Panola College Volleyball advances to 23-3 overall and 12-2 in conference play. 

Tamara Chavez paved the way for the Fillies offense with 10 kills. Chavez added seven digs and four blocks. Izabely Benjamin and Andressa Soares both recorded nine kills each. Benjamin added 19 digs and one block while Soares added 14 digs, four aces, and one block. Cassidy Cole added eight kills and four blocks for the Fillies. 

Vitoria Mattos ran the Fillies offense and dished out 40 assists. Mattos added seven digs and one block. Erin Perez led the Fillies defense recording 30 digs on the four-set match while Kyndle Todd recorded 10 digs on the night in the full team effort, pushing the Fillies past Victoria College. 

The Fillies return to action at home for "High School Night" Thursday, October 21st against nationally ranked #2 Blinn College at 6pm! Come support your Fillies and pack the gym in pink and green!
