Busy Week Has Ponies at 10-3, #16 in Nation

The Panola Men’s Basketball team went through a tough 4 game stretch
in 8 days. This stretch also included 3 consecutive road games in 6
days. The Ponies were able to come through this difficult stretch 3-1.

On Wednesday, March 3rd the team traveled to Navarro College and came
away with the 86-75 victory. The Ponies were led by Josh Miller who
poured in 36 Points and Cody Deen who scored 33 Points (27 in the second
half).

On Saturday, March 6th the Ponies’ game was at Lamar State Port Arthur.
Panola came away with the 77-74 victory. Ponies were led by Sherman
Brashear with 24 Points and 10 Rebounds and Cody Deen with 23 Points
and 5 Assists.  Esteban Roacho added 9 Points.

A short turnaround due to the original game at Trinity Valley being
postponed because of weather issues proved too much for Panola and
they dropped that game 92-68.

There was no time to relax as Kilgore came to Carthage on Wednesday
March 10th for a showdown to hold second place in Region XIV. The
Ponies, despite being short-handed, came away with the 73-65 win.

Cody Deen scored a career-high and individual season-high in Region
XIV 43 Points!  Josh Miller scored 13 points and grabbed 6 Rebounds
and Sherman Brashear added 9 Points and 4 Rebounds.

The Ponies will be back in action on Saturday, March 13 as they travel
to Beeville, TX to take on Coastal Bend, tip is set for 4 PM.
