The Ponies were led by a big-time performance from Freshman Tytan Newton who poured in 41 Points on 14-23 from the field (7-14 3FG).  Cody Deen added 21 Points, 8 Assists, and 5 Rebounds. Sherman Brashear joined them in double figures with 10 points.

 

Prior to traveling to Blinn, the Ponies played host to #8 Trinity Valley. Trinity Valley came away with the 88-85 victory. Cody Deen led the way with 29 Points, 7 Assists, and 3 Rebounds.  He was joined in double figures by Josh Miller (17 Points, 4 Rebounds) and Sherman Brashear (11 Points and 7 Rebounds).

 

On Saturday, March 27th the team traveled to Victoria College and won the road contest 83-76. The Ponies were led by Sherman Brashear with 20 Points and 5 Rebounds, Cody Deen with 18 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 6 Assists, Ja'Hiem Handy with 14 Points and 3 Assists, Issac Jackson with 14 Points, and Tytan Newton with 12 Points, 5 Assists, and 4 Rebounds.  Olaverr Camacho led with 12 Rebounds and scored 4 Points.

 

Panola has earned a first round bye in the upcoming Region XIV Tournament and will play on Thursday April 8th at 3PM vs the winner of the Paris/Jacksonville game to take place on Tuesday April 6th.
