The Panola Men's Basketball team hosted the season opening Region XIV game on Saturday vs Jacksonville College.
It was an intense game and the Ponies proved too much for the Jaguars in the second half. It was a total team effort as Panola had 7 players in double figures. Kelyn Pennie and Stanton Rose led the way with 15 points each and Rose also added 8 rebounds. Cameron Carson scored 14 points, Davian Sanders and Jermaine Drewey both added 12 points each while Sanders also added 5 assists. Dominique Jackson and Aaron Gedeon both chipped in 11 points a piece with Gedeon leading the way on the glass with 14 rebounds.
The #13 Ponies move to 8-1 (1-0) on the year and will host #1 Ranger at Arthur Johnson Gymnasium on Monday November 25th at 7PM. The game is preceded by the Fillies who play host to ETBU JV at 5PM.
