The Ponies closed out the first semester with a very convincing Region XIV road win over Lamar State Port Arthur 85-52 on Saturday, December 7. The win moved Panola to 3-0 in conference play.
Leading the way was Kelyn Pennie with 20 points. He was joined in double figures by Aaron Gedeon with 13 points and 7 rebounds, Cameron Carson, Kamari Brown and Stanton Rose with 10 points.
Coming back from Christmas break Panola outlasted the Houston Gladiators 99-87 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday December 28th.
The Ponies were led by Kelyn Pennie with 20 points. He was joined in double figures by Aaron Gedeon with 18 points and 8 rebounds, Christopher Coley and Jermaine Drewey with 12 points, Dominique Jackson with 11, and Cameron Carson with 10. Stanton Rose had 5 assists to go along with 4 points.
Panola will be back in action on Friday January 3 at 7PM hosting Lee College at Arthur Johnson Gymnasium as Region XIV play picks back up.
