On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the Fillies traveled to Tishomingo, OK to take on Murray State. Murray State is a hard working,  fundamental team that can shoot the 3. The Fillies got off to a slow start, unable to connect on their field goal attempts early on, but they were able to connect on FT's to get on the board. As the first quarter went on, they began to find their rhythm a bit. The first quarter finished with Murray State up by 1 (15-14). Murray State didn't let up in the second quarter connecting on four 3's. This gave Murray State a 4 point lead going into halftime (29-25). Coming out after the half, the Fillies had some fight about them. Finishing the third quarter even in scoring, Murray State went into the fourth quarter maintaining their four point lead. Turning up the defense, the Fillies were able to make a run, get to the free throw line, and close the lead. Unfortunately the Filles ran out of time at the end. The fight was there, however, they came up just short with a final score of 57-52. The Fillies were lead in scoring by #10-Sharayah Johnson with 13pts. #2- Savannah Velazquez and #5- Gionna Carr added 10pts a piece.
