Not only did the Fillies put up 21 points that quarter they were able to hold North American to only 9 points that quarter. This gave them a comfortable lead going into halftime up 48-23. The story in the second half of play was no different. The Fillies continued their offensive onslaught. This is the first time this season that the Fillies have reached the century mark winning the game 100-60. The team shot 59.7% from the field and everyone chipped in on scoring. Game leaders were #32- Kadresha Smith with 20 pts, 4 reb on 8-11 shooting, and #2- Savannah Velazquez with 18 pts, 7 reb on 8-9 shooting.

Saturday the Fillies had a much anticipated rematch against the McLennan Highlassies. The Highlassies are a team with depth and play a fast and controlled tempo with the ability to get it going. The Highlassies came into the match up ranked #8 in the nation, but that didn't deter the Fillies. From the opening tip, McLennan controlled the lead through the first quarter. #25- Aaliyah Holmes was really able to fill it up from 3. She hit 3 big ones to lead all scorers with 9 pts at the end of the first. The Fillies went into the second quarter down 21-11. The second quarter the Fillies were able to get some more offense going and turn up the defense along with it. The Highlassies were held to 11 points that quarter by the Fillies. Going into halftime, the Fillies were down 32-24, but by no means defeated. With renewed energy, the Fillies came out ready to play in the quarter putting up 19 points that quarter and holding the Highlassies to 12. With some lead changes and momentum swings, the Fillies were right where they needed to be at the end of the quarter only down by 1, 44-43. The fourth quarter was the same story. Both teams were back and forth in the scoring. In the final minute, the fillies had the game within reach. A made pair of free throws put the Highlassies up 3 and the Fillies fell just short 61-58.
