Dig Pink game set Friday, Oct. 28

The #1 nationally ranked Panola College Volleyball team will host its 8th Annual Dig Pink game on Friday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. in the A.J. Johnson Gymnasium.

"Our last home game of the season, this year's breast cancer awareness event, features a match against the also nationally ranked Wharton County Jr. College Lady Pioneers," said Amber McCray, Head Coach. "This is a special time of year when we set aside our green and white pride and unite in PINK to join a cause rooted in hope and strength to find a cure to a devastating disease that claims nearly 40,000 lives each year in the United States alone."

General Admission is $5, but free for all Panola students as well as faculty, staff, retirees and their immediate families. As part of the annual event, this is also a fundraiser for the Side-Out Foundation, a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing compassionate support services and educating communities.

"We have personally set a goal of raising $500 for the foundation and are hoping all of you can help us get there," McCray said.

"Thank you all for your support this season. We really appreciate the excellent home crowds we have had, and we hope everyone will please come out again to support a great cause and paint the gym PINK as we cheer on Panola College to victory!," McCray said.
