Season Recap:
The 2024-2025 Fillies enjoyed a season including many memorable highlights. The Fillies finished the 2024-2025 season with a 19-11 overall record, going 10-5 at home, 6-6 away and maintaining a perfect regular season 4-0 record on neutral courts. Their unblemished neutral court record came by undefeated stints both in the Cardinal Classic hosted at Trinity Valley Community College and the Evelyn Blalock Classic hosted at Kilgore College. In the Blalock Classic, sophomore guard, Na’Kaylyn Wells knocked down a buzzer beater 3 point shot to shock and defeat the No. 17 team in the country, Odessa College. The Fillies also earned another top 25 win vs No. 24 Blinn College at home during round 2 of Region 14 play. The Fillies eventually finished 5th in league standings. The Fillies averaged over 11 steals and forced nearly 19 turnovers per game in Region 14 play, establishing their defensive identity amongst the conference. The Fillies also posted final scores of 80 points or more 8 times this season, including a 102-45 victory over Coastal Bend College, proving the versatility of their squad offensively. The ‘24-’25 team managed to string 4 consecutive wins three different times this season. The Fillies opened up post season play versus Kilgore College for round one of the Region XIV tournament. The Fillies battled hard but ultimately fell short bringing their 2024-2025 season to an end.
The Fillies want to thank everyone for their passionate support this season and look forward to building off the success of this season for the next!
