Week 8 Recap: 

In the eighth week of the 2024-2025 season, the Fillies competed in Kilgore College’s Annual Evelyn Blalock Classic. The Fillies stunned #15 Odessa College with a buzzer beater three point dagger by sophomore guard, Na’Kaylyn Wells, in addition to dominating Hill College for the second time this season, leaving the classic 2-0. The Fillies now hold a 9-4 overall record.  

Game 1: Panola College vs. Odessa College.

Final score of 64-63

Game Highlights:

• Awa Fane led with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

• Shaine Parker added 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

• Na’Kaylyn Wells, responsible for hitting the game winning buzzer beater, finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  

Game 2: Panola College vs. Hill College.

Final score of 76-52

Game Highlights:

• Awa Fane had 19 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. 

• Madison Caldwell had double-double figures with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

• Shaine Parker added 8 points and 7 rebounds.

The Fillies have one remaining non-conference game to play this Tuesday at home versus Southwest Mississippi for a 4:00pm tip off, then look ahead to start Region 14 play on the road versus Trinity Valley for a 2:00pm tip off this Saturday.
