Panola College Wins Men’s and Women’s Championship at Hill College Rodeo

Panola College Rodeo Team wins both the Men and the Women’s Division of the Hill College Rodeo this past weekend in Hillsboro, TX. 

The Men’s team continues to dominate the Southern Region as they remained in first place.  Freshman, Kolt Dement, is running away with the Southern Region Bareback title as he once again won the rodeo.  Teammate Riley Rieken also won the team roping with his partner Jace Frerck from SWTXJC.  Other men who scored for Panola were Michael Womack who finished 2nd in the Saddlebronc, Jacques Trahan finished 3rd in the steer wrestling, Gauge Mcbride finished 3rd in the bareback, and Macon Murphy finished 3rd in the tie down. Also placing this weekend was Kaul Runfola, Thomas Wallace, Kincade Henry and Sam Wigans.

Jayden Gould is red hot for the Fillies and won the Breakaway with a smoking 1.5 sec run.  This is the second rodeo in a row that Gould has won has elevated herself into the second spot for the Southern Region Breakaway title and a chance to go to the CNFR.  Maison Davis finished 2nd in the barrels and Abbie Muckleroy finished 5th in the barrels to secure the win for the women’s team.
