Mason Yancy, a sophomore from Emmett, Idaho, won the bareback riding championship this past weekend at the Panola College Rodeo to lead the Panola's Men's team to a second place finish overall.
Other Panola team members receiving points were:
Jayden Broussard - Brousard, LA - 3rd in tiedown calf roping
Caysn Ballenger - Dublin, TX - 3rd in saddle bronc
Isaac Ingram - Basile, LA - 5th in bareback
Hayden James - Emmett, ID - 6th in bareback
Landon Cook - Alto, TX - 6th in saddlebronc
Leila Klein - Center, TX - 7th in barrels
Mac Street - Jasper, TX - 8th in the steerwrestling, and 9th in the tiedown calf roping. He also finished 4th in the Men's All Around.
