The Fillies went to Waco, TX to take on the McLennan Highlassies Tuesday Nov. 15, 2022. This trip rounded out a three game road stretch in five days. Although the Fillies fell to the Highlassies, it was a hard fought game. McLennan is a team with depth and fast paced. Last night McLennan was lead by #13-  Saneea Bevley and #22- Bineta Diatta who had 22 and 17 pts respectively. The first quarter was fairly evenly matched with McLennan taking the lead 18-14. In the second quarter, fouls and turnovers played their part, but even with the empty possessions and foul trouble, the Fillies went into half down a manageable 11 pts. 

After halftime, the Highlassies came out and put up 20 points to the Fillies 13. Going into the fourth the fillies turned up their defense with some full court pressure forcing s few turnovers. Being down by as much as 29 points, the Fillies kept fighting. Holding the Highlassies to 17 pts the final quarter allowed the fillies to end the game with a final score 73 Mclennan 50 Panola bringing their record to 4-1. 

 Some notable performances for the Fillies were #10- Sharayah Johnson with 19 pts, #5- Gionna Carr with 11 pts, 2 stl, and 1 blk. #11- Avery Young finished with 9 pts and 9 reb. #1- Lyric Scott off the bench came in and delivered a few big baskets shooting 100% from the field. 

The Fillies are back in action over the Thanksgiving break next Tuesday Nov. 22 taking on Richland at home.
